There are no words to express the depths of despair that the Desai family is facing following the sudden passing of Shrey Desai, 29, who was tragically taken from us in a fatal car accident on July 6, 2024, while traveling in devotional service to Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple in Dallas. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, service, and selflessness that deeply touched all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In addition to his roles as a husband, son, brother, and friend, Shrey excelled in his career, rising to the position of Director of Finance and also serving as Vice President of a nonprofit organization, the Datta Center.

This unimaginable tragedy has left the family devastated and they are in urgent need of our support. Shrey was the sole income earner for his family. His young wife, Nidhi, 26, is still a student finishing her degree, and his dad, Maulesh just retired. The family is still overcoming the grief and loss of his mom, Gita, who passed away less than two years ago after almost a decade of battling breast cancer.
