Help Thomas Achieve Cancer Remission
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and colleagues,
Happy Lunar New Year! I wish you all good health, peace, and happiness. I’d like to take a moment to share some updates about my cancer journey.
First, the good news: after five cycles of chemotherapy, it seems my treatment is nearing its end, and my lymphoma appears to be under control for now.
I’m excited to get back to traveling for work (I’ve been working part-time as an advisor) and can’t wait to see you all soon!
Now, for the more challenging news: as my chemotherapy concludes, my oncologist has started the search for a matching donor for my bone marrow and stem cell transplant. The plan is to use stem cells from a matching donor for an autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT), which could help put my lymphoma into remission. This procedure has an approximate 80% success rate for remission and a three-year survival rate, so I remain hopeful that I can win this fight against cancer.
Unfortunately, this process is quite costly, and I would deeply appreciate your support. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help cover the costs of tests, imaging, bloodwork, biopsies, and other necessary procedures to assess suitability.
My fundraising goal is $50,000 USD, which is the estimated cost for six months following the donor match. I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to return to work full-time afterward and get back to living life to the fullest, fingers crossed.
Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, support, and prayers during this journey. I am truly grateful for each and every one of you.
Warmest aloha,
Thomas
