Tiff’s Fight 4 Life

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Tiffany and I am 39 years old. I am a single Mama to my son Jake, who is 12 years old. I am currently fighting for my life. In May, I was put on short term disability and then was furloughed in August and now my position has been eliminated for my full time job. I have no insurance currently. I am trying to get benefits through the state, but that is proving to take a long amount of time.

I had Gastric Sleeve surgery in July 2023 and have lost 160 lbs. I am suffering from a permanent malabsorption issue as a byproduct of my Gastric Sleeve weight loss surgery. I am in the 5% of people who have a gravely adverse reaction to their new stomach. Basically, my body is rejecting my new stomach. It cannot absorb the nutrients it needs to survive. I made the decision to have this surgery because my Mom passed away at the age 49 from a slew of issues such as Type 2 Diabetes, Congestive Heart Failure, etc. I wanted to ensure that I would out live my Mom and be here to see my son grow up. Now, I am literally fighting for my life to survive. I have battled cancer three times (Vulva 2016, Cervical 2017, and Thyroid 2020) and I am now on my fourth battle (Schwannoma Tumors 2024). I am terrified because at this rate, I am going to lose everything. My son needs to see me fight with all my might so he knows that we do not give up and we can rise above this. We have lost too much as it is and need help right now.

One of my hobbies is running and in May 2024, I developed what my orthopedic doctor initially diagnosed as one golf ball sized 'runner's cyst.' I was told I would either need surgery to remove or allow it to dissipate on its own over a 12-month period. Being that I would have to learn to walk again and the recovery was 8-12 months, the best option was to let it dissipate on its own. I felt completely defeated though because this has hindered me from working since May as my ankle & leg are not stable enough to function safely. I’m high risk for my ankle to snap and break at anytime. My latest scans indicated that I now have three golf ball sized tumors in my lower right leg that are restricting my perineal nerve. As it turns out, it was not a runners cyst. They are tumors.

I have tried for months to remediate this on my own but it is to the point where I am going to lose everything. I cannot survive in the current situation I am in if I do not get help from the community as soon as possible. I need help with essentials such as, medical expenses, utilities, groceries, medications, etc.

So in a nutshell, Tumors + Malabsorption Issues untreated = No More Tiffany. I need to be able to fight this and cover expenses along the way. It is imperative that I get help as soon as possible. I am already 6 months into this journey and time is of the essence.

If you can help, I would appreciate it. If you cannot contribute financially, I would greatly appreciate you sharing this on your social media platforms. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and get to know a little bit about me.
