Donate to Trans Camp Weekend at TRE

Hi,
I'm Jay, and I'm one of the people behind Trans Camp weekend at TRE. I'm reaching out to you because, as you know, we've all had a couple of pretty tough years. With the pandemic and the closure of our host bar (The Atlanta Eagle), we haven't been able to fundraise for camp like we used to. In years past, we bartended and sold jello shots once a month. We haven't been able to do that since February 2020, and here we are in July 2022. Last year we could coast on what we didn't spend in 2020. This year we're feeling the squeeze.
Trans Camp Weekend is a labor of love for the members of Alphabet Soup Atlanta (most of us are in that picture). We love seeing our community come together and celebrate what makes us who we are. We will do everything we can to ensure that we have a safe, happy place just to be ourselves for at least one weekend a year, and this year that means asking for help.
Between Trans Camp Weekend growing exponentially every year and food prices going off the rails right now, we could use a little extra boost this year to ensure everything runs smoothly. We need to buy food for around 200 people, pay the deposit for the kitchen, pay the DJ, and lots of other little things along the way. But, unfortunately, none of what you pay to the camp for your membership and lodging comes to us.
If you can help us defray the cost of camp this year, that would be amazing! It sounds cliche, but every bit helps. Also, if we surpass our goal, extra money will be used to get our 501c3 so we can get grants and corporate donations moving forward (and not have to ask you again). If you cannot donate financially, please consider donating some time to help with cooking, clean up, and other activities while we're at camp.
Thanks so much! I can't wait to see you in a few weeks!
