The Franciscan Friars in Ukraine are asking for urgent help.
Support for Ukraine
On Thursday, February 24, 2022, the world was shocked by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Today, our sisters and brothers and their children are facing hunger, homelessness, and evacuation. While many are leaving the country, the Franciscan Friars are staying to help and be with the people they serve. Meanwhile, our Polish friars across the border in Poland are assisting refugees fleeing Ukraine, now numbering in the millions.
Our prayers and support can make so much of a difference. St. Adalbert Parish has been always generous in giving and supporting those who are in need. Our parishioners and friends have already donated $4,000 and $10,000 at our Masses in church. All donations were transferred directly to the friars in Ukraine and Poland this past week, so that they may continue their life-saving work.
If you haven’t made a donation yet, please give a vital gift today! When you donate, you provide immediate assistance for our Ukrainian sisters and brothers affected by war. We will continue to send all funds to the friars to help those who desperately need our help with food, clothing, and medicine.
There is a box in the back of the church you may drop your donation or through the GO-FUND-ME that has been set up. You will find it under the title Donate to Ukrainian Refugees.
We will continue to support Ukraine
God bless and thank you.
