Join Us in Making Christmas Magical for Families in Need
Donation protected
Hello! We’re Kendahl and Tim, the founders of the “Undercover Santa” fundraiser, dedicated to bringing holiday joy to children in need.
Our Journey Began in 2020:
During the pandemic, we saw an increased need for toys as many families faced financial hardships. We decided to help by collecting donations from friends and family to buy toys. What started as a small effort quickly grew beyond our expectations. In just one week, we raised $5,400 from 70 donors! Tim’s employer, A2P, generously contributed $1,500. With these funds, we bought 336 toys, bringing joy to many children on Christmas morning. Our initiative even caught the attention of Jessica Swarner, a reporter at The Copper Courier, who featured our story. Jessica has continued to document our efforts every year. The most recent article is linked below.
Growing Impact:
Encouraged by our success, we continued our efforts in 2021 and raised $7,200, with A2P increasing their donation to $3,000. This allowed us to purchase 449 toys. In 2022, Tim challenged us to raise $10,000. With our community’s support, we exceeded this goal, raising $10,400! A2P’s contribution grew to $6,000, enabling us to buy 720 toys and fill a box truck that was picked up by volunteers.
Looking Ahead:
Unfortunately, due to changes in tax regulations, we couldn’t run our fundraiser in 2023 the way we did before, which was absolutely heartbreaking. However, GoFundMe is the perfect solution to help us continue our mission. Please consider donating to help us bring joy to even more children and their families this Christmas. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. If you can’t donate, please share our story to help spread the word. Let’s aim to beat our $10,400 record and make an even bigger impact this year!
Thank you for your support,
Kendahl and Tim
P.S. Special thanks to my friend Shirley's son, Alex who inspired the name “Undercover Santa.” When he saw the hundreds of toys in our spare bedroom the first year, he asked his mom if Kendahl was Undercover Santa!
