Donate to Willie A. Tate Memorial Scholarship

In honor of my dad and the scholarship fund, for my birthday we are opening up this GoFundMe as a way to honor him and raise money.

We have not been able to do our memorial Willie A Tate Run/Walk to raise money for the scholarship fund.

 This fundraiser commemorates longtime local coach, teacher and mentor to many at Portola High School, Willie A. Tate, who passed away in 2000. The funds go towards the Heart and Soul scholarship where we award two Portola High Seniors during the Senior awards dinner.  The inscription on the award plaque commends the recipients, those “who embody the strengths of sportsmanship, motivation and dedication inspired by Mr. Tate.”
