Donate to Operation Minuteman - Helene Relief
Donation protected
My name is Aaron Cluff. I am an Emergency Management professional, a Veteran of the US Army, a father, and a steward to my community. I felt the need to reach out online to further my cause to help the victims of Hurricane Helene. I am organizing supply runs from Missouri to the impact area.
I swore on an oath a long time ago. I am a man of my word, and a man of action. I have seen our government mishandle funds, finance foreign nations, and fight endless for-profit wars my entire adult life. I even participated. Over time, I have grow to see the forest through the trees, but those trees are starting to fall down.
What I NEVER expected, was to see only so little aid sent to NC and the surrounding area because of Hurricane Helene. I never expected to see FEMA preventing aid from reaching civilians that need it. I never predicted local Sheriffs urging people to organize militias. While orphaned children cry in the cold, our government is more worried about optics than aid. They are more worried about mean words on the internet than helping those in need. With Milton making landfall soon, the situation is dire.
The federal government has failed its people. It is too busy lining the pockets of contractors and bankers in foreign conflicts and inserting their ideals where they aren’t welcome. I have tossed this idea around for days, but I have made my decision.
This decision came after a discussion with my daughter. I have decided to organize as many supply runs to TN and NC as I physically can. She encouraged me by stating “Dad, if you have the skills, means, and money, I think you should help. There are kids starving and dying, and its about to get cold out.” She’s 14 y’all. A reflection of my parenting? I honestly hope so.
Donations will go directly to acquiring water, canned food (pull tabs please, they don’t have can openers), tools (chain saws, knives, axes, etc) baby formula, diapers, gas, diesel, old coats (warm ones, winter is coming), blankets, first aid supplies, stuffed animals, or anything related. It will help cover travel costs for the team and vehicle wear and tear as well.
If you would like to stay updated on the mission, please consider subscribing to my blog Heartland Emergency Preparedness as this is where all updates will occur. For faster notifications, be sure to subscribe to the newsletter.
Thank you and God bless.
