Our mother, Melanie (Calvin) Sutter, was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in December 2018. She has been a teacher at Montpelier Exempted Village Schools for over 28 years and is planning to retire at the end of the 2020 school year. After her retirement, she and her husband, Mike, plan to travel and see parts of the United States they have yet to see (and visiting many wineries along the way).
Her doctors have prescribed a very aggressive chemo and radiation treatment plan. In addition to the medicinal treatments, we have created a holistic treatment program including a specialized diet, superfoods and exercise to set our mother's body up for success to battle the tumor.
Since she is well-loved by so many people in our community, people have asked what they can do to help. We have set up this site as a way to provide financial assistance to her family as they do everything they can to battle her diagnosis.
We want you to know that we have no expectation of monetary support. Prayers are certainly needed and appreciated greatly. However, if you want to provide financial assistance, it would help offset the increased costs of the healthy meals and supplements that we are providing to our mother along with the cost of fuel as we transport her to daily treatment appointments.
