Donation for Avian and Choua

Hi family and friends,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the loss of my brother-in-law, Lor Vue. He passed at the young age of 37, leaving behind his wife and 2-year-old son.

My sister, Choua, and Lor began dating in 2017. He led an active life in San Diego, and enjoyed surfing and running marathons. Lor found joy with the simplest things, like the sunset over the ocean’s horizon or the beauty of nature from a hike.

A year later, he was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis and was found to have a thymoma tumor. He underwent a sternotomy and removal of the thymoma. Choua and Lor got married in June 2019 and were blessed with a healthy, robust baby boy, Avian.

Unfortunately, in 2020, they found out his cancer has returned and has now spread to his lungs. He underwent a thoracotomy in 2021 to remove the tumors. Through the years, he was a fighter and despite every hurdle thrown at him, he prevailed. However, the last year his lung tumors continued to grow. Lor was determined to overcome this, but with his weekly chemo and constant ED visits for recurrent complications, he went into cardiac arrest on 10/6/22 and took his last breath.

If you knew Lor, you would agree that he was one of the most giving and helpful person. Personally, when I was single and living next door to them, I could always count on him to check in and ensure my safety was a priority. You could call him for a favor and he would drop everything to lend a hand.

Choua and Lor shared a beautiful love. Anywhere they went, you would see them always waiting for each other, holding hands. There was so much they wanted to see and explore together. Thank you for giving my sister the happiest years of her life.
