Donation in Honor of Ken Bartlett
Donation protected
You might not know that the Ken Bartlett we all knew who was so active and involved in the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG) board and committee meetings for many years also had another passion.
Up to the time of his passing, Mr. Bartlett was the Chairman of Team Tinker Home Away From Home, which is a private, non-profit organization for young, single airmen on their first tour of duty. They have about 20 events per year, including picnics and day trips, and they also assign host families to the airmen, where they can go and have a sense of belonging while away from home. Mr. Bartlett helped lay the groundwork for Team Tinker Home Away From Home when the program was first developed and was one of the first host families to invite the airmen into his home. He was very passionate about encouraging the young airmen to continue their education, so he helped design the program to include professional development classes to assist the airmen to achieve their career aspirations.
Your donation can help finance the classes. This year, the classes will be on "Optimizing Priorities" and there is a recognition at the end of the class when the students receive spirit awards.
We encourage you to contribute to this cause in memory of Ken Bartlett.
