Hi! I am fundraising for underserved children and adults in rural Kenyan communities to have access to basic health and school supplies. Unfortunately, money to buy supplies for small projects like mine is hard to come by.
One of the main concerns when donating to help abroad is wondering where your money is really going. What really turned me over was the ability to directly help smaller communities, those that are often disregarded by large organizations. You have the ability to help the smaller picture. Only after comes the bigger picture. Currently, our projects focus on small villages that do not receive the support they need. We help local African clinicians and caregivers with medical and other supplies needed. We work to ensure that disadvantaged children and adults have access to basic health and school supplies. Any donations will contribute towards school supplies and masks to Kenyan villages.
In 2018, I was given the opportunity to travel to rural Kenya and live with a host family. Upon visiting the local orphanage, the conditions were heartbreaking. They didn't have access to basic school supplies like pencils, paper, markers, and crayons. Not only this, but the orphanage and other families in rural villages lack supplies to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Your donations will directly support these communities and orphanages, giving them masks, gloves, sanitizer, paper, pencils, crayons, and other school supplies.
I am asking for your support as I fundraise to reach my goal raising $3,000 by December 30, 2020. Your support will not only allow kids in these orphanages to have the simple opportunity to draw with a marker, but give people in the area the supplies they need to get through this difficult time period.
In the future, I am looking forward to helping more communities in need after completing medical school. When I become a doctor, I plan to take time off each year and help small clinics in disadvantaged areas in need of medical help. For now, you can join my mission by donating – no amount is too small every bit will help.
I'm excited about the opportunity to help the underserved people in the communities I visited on my trip to Kenya. Visit our website to learn more: https://donationsmile.com
