Donation to Dennis Cromarty in Memory of Morgan Idris Little

We come to you with heavy hearts in the wake of a devastating loss. Our friend and fellow Bora Laskin Faculty of Law graduate, Morgan, passed away suddenly on November 5, 2024. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family, as well as the students and teachers of the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law Class of 2023.
For those who recall, during our second year of law school, Morgan organized a fundraiser for the Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School. We wish to replicate this meaningful gesture in his memory.
In December 2021, Morgan distributed the following pitch for his fundraiser:
“Unofficial, unsanctioned, and yet, authorized–just a couple of 2Ls and their well-intentioned peers trying to get into the spirit of the season before we all drown in exam prep and our family affairs.
Essentially, we are just passing around the proverbial hat for the student council of the Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School of Thunder Bay.
For those that may not know, this school is the educational hub for Indigenous students from distant, northern, fly-in communities who have no choice but to bravely travel down here to pursue a high school education. These students face many hardships, challenges, and often live with foster families while completing their studies.
Our feeling is that the student council knows best how the money can have the most significant positive impact.
If this proves to be a modest success, maybe we can work longer and harder on a more meaningful gesture for next year; but as of now, I’m sure this contribution will go a long way.
Kick-in for karma.
In the blink of an eye, we'll all be jaded, cynical lawyers with hypertension, a touch of arthritis, and more money than sense. I thank you for having my back and for thinking of the next generation--those who will take up our lost causes, our dreams, and our dearest hopes.”

J.D. Candidate, 2023
A fierce intellectual and friend, Morgan was also incredibly honest and caring. He will be forever missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him, and especially those who enjoyed his unique sense of humor. Please consider honouring his memory by contributing to a meaningful cause that held a special place in his heart.
We thank you for any contribution you are able to offer.
