Hello to ALL and to those from the islands of Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Håfa Adai!
My name is Hinasa G. Rosario. I am the daughter of Joseph Rosario of Barrigada (Familian Seboyas) and the former Lani Guerrero of Cañåda, Barrigåda (Familian Gualafon and Baluyok).
My mom, Lani, is always wearing a smile, no matter the circumstances. Those who know her can vouch for that. She consistently shares her humor and brightens the room with her jokes, making everyone around her burst into laughter. She never fails to bring a smile to my face. Beyond her infectious positivity, she's also my pillar of strength and my confidant for intimate conversations.
Seeing her smile fills me with joy, but witnessing her sadness breaks my heart. Recently, doctors at Guam Regional Medical City made a distressing discovery: they found a substantial mass on her ovaries that urgently requires surgical removal. This mass has been causing her considerable discomfort, pushing against her stomach, leading to pain and the inability to hold down her food.
Here's how it all started. During her routine checkup with her primary care physician, my mom complained about abdominal discomfort and irregular bowel movements. Unfortunately, without conducting a physical examination or any further tests, the doctor recommended dietary changes to promote regular bowel movements. As the discomfort escalated into unbearable pain, she returned to her doctor, who once again dismissed her concerns as constipation and suggested more laxatives.
Unable to endure the pain any longer, my mom sought help at GRMC Emergency Room. After undergoing tests and a CT scan, it became clear that her condition was not related to constipation, as her doctor had assumed. Instead, they discovered a large mass on her ovaries, so substantial that surgery to remove it couldn't be performed in Guam.
We are currently in Los Angelos. On November 8, 2023, my mom had an appointment with a specialist. Although the doctor is uncertain about the nature of this mass, she stressed the urgency of its surgical removal. Biopsy samples were taken and were sent to be tested, and the procedure to remove the mass is scheduled for November 22, 2023 Pacific Time. At this point, with a few unknowns, we are uncertain about low long we’ll need to stay in LA.
I humbly request your support through donations to help alleviate the financial burden of my mom's medical care in Los Angeles. This encompasses expenses such as upfront medical costs not covered by insurance, lodging, transportation, and various other expenses. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will be deeply appreciated and will make a significant difference.
From the bottom of my heart, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donations. Your kindness means the world to us.
