Donations for baby Aiden

At Sarah and Joey’s 20 week ultrasound appointment, they discovered their sweet baby, Aiden, has a hole in his diaphragm otherwise known as Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). This allows the organs in his stomach to shift up affecting the growth of his lungs. Unable to find answers in Maine, they were sent to Boston in hopes of promising news. After a full day of testing, they were told their baby’s hole is on the right side of his diaphragm - which is far less common than the left (less than 10% of CDH baby’s). Due to the severity of Aiden’s case, he will need life saving surgery immediately after he is born. At a time Sarah and Joey should be celebrating, decorating a nursery and preparing for the birth of their baby, they’ve found themselves searching the country for the top CDH specialists. They spent those next few weeks researching doctors - praying, asking God for answers. God answered their prayers when he sent them Dr. Kays from John Hopkins Children’s Hospital in Saint Petersburg, Florida - one of the first doctors to give them any sort of fighting chance. So in the next couple weeks, Sarah and Joey will pack up and head down to Florida, in hopes that this doctor can save their baby’s life.
