Donations for Catherine Hardy Dodson Funeral Costs

Our beloved mother, Catherine Hardy Dodson known to most as Cookie recently passed on April 13th. Cookie was a wonderful sister, mother, wife, friend, etc. who touched the lives of those around her. She leaves behind her husband, Jose Dodson Sr., her children, Jose Dodson Jr. (Nemiyah Dodson), Fidel Dodson, Ku’Quita Dodson, and Nar’Quisia Dodson. She also leaves behind her only grandchild, Marquis Dodson and her godchild Samantha Haynes and her son Harry. Along with her three sisters and two brothers and several nieces and nephews. She’s the daughter of the late Almettae Hardy and Jake Hardy Sr.

Cookie dedicated her life to God and touched the many lives of those she interacted with. Our mother was a true jack of all trades. She could make anyone near her smile and she told things exactly how they were without sugarcoating anything.

We are all devastated by Cookie’s loss and were under the assumption our mother had life insurance. However, due to a pre-existing rare lung disease (interstitial lung disease) the insurance company failed to inform our father that she wouldn’t be covered until after her passing. We want to give Cookie the memorial she deserves, to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes.

We are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Cookie’s funeral. We need to raise $10K by Saturday April 18th,  in order to be able to afford the funeral service.
