Donations for charities in Lisa’s name.

We are setting up this go fund me page to raise money to split equally between the following two charities:

1. Mind - Bradford District and Craven

2. The Menopause Charity

These donations will be made in Lisa’s name.

On 13th January 2025, Lisa left her home without phone or money. She didn’t tell anyone where she was going. We spent a harrowing two days searching for her and appealing for people across the country, but particularly in Yorkshire to look out for her and share her picture. The country did not disappoint and we were completely overwhelmed with the support we were given by the general public.

On the 15th of January, Lisa was found.

We as a family have been left devastated and reeling.

Lisa was so beloved, by all that knew her.

She was a loving partner to Billie for 15 years.

She was granddaughter, daughter, step mum, mother in law, sister, aunty, and was the most fun Grandma to her ‘grandies’.

Lisa was a friend to everyone.

She was adored by her family and she adored them, particularly her niece and nephew and her grandies.

Lisa touched lives wherever she went. The tributes pouring in comment on how special she was, how kind she was and how she had the voice of an angel. Lisa’s love of karaoke was well known and her page, songs from the cellar, where she showcased her talents, has a strong following.

Even people from Lisa’s childhood have commented saying how even as a child/teenager she was kind and gentle.

She was utterly hilarious, with her facial expressions and comical situation storytelling.

She spread her love of Star Wars and Harry Potter to her grandies and they all spent many hours with her discussing and watching them.

Lisa coached one of her grandsons football team, leading them to victory many times with her knowledge and gentle approach with the children.

Her love of Michael Jackson, Queen and Eminem also influenced her grandies, a few of whom, like her, are very musical.

She was an animal lover, particularly alpacas, and she was utterly devoted to their Romanian rescue Teddy, who was adopted during the covid lockdown.

Together Billie and Lisa travelled the world, holidaying from New York to Finland. Seeing places together they both never thought they’d see.

They enjoyed camping and caravanning, sometimes taking some of their grandies along. Apart from when visiting their daughter Sapphire in Kent where the nearest campsite stipulates ‘No Children Allowed’, which gave us all a lot of laughs! They always joked half seriously that they would travel Europe in retirement in a camper van.

All of the young people mentioned above in Lisa’s life are aged between 9 months and 16 years, and she won’t get to see them grow into adults, and meet their milestones. Learning to drive, going to university, getting married and having children of their own. She was their biggest champion and influence, but she won’t be there for these celebrations because she didn’t get the help she needed.

This is something we desperately would like to prevent from happening to any other families.
