Donations for Isaac & Devon Schaedel's education

We have set up a memorial contribution fund to benefit Teresa's sons, Isaac and Devon. 

Their mother, Teresa Rivas passed away on Friday May 21, 2021.  She was a devoted mother  and great friend to all who knew her and what better way to celebrate her life than with a fund to help her boys with their future educational expenses.

Teresa Denise Rivas, 44, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully Friday, May 21, 2021 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.  She was born May 12, 1977 to Richard and Betty (Gilmore) Rivas in Kansas City, MO.

Teresa was united in marriage to Aaron Pryor on September 30, 2016 in Weston, MO.  She received her Bachelors of Science degree from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO.  She worked as a section chief for the Department of Homeland Security.  Teresa enjoyed scrapbooking, crafting, swimming, the beach, gardening, her pets, and drinking Coca-Cola.  Above all she enjoyed being with her family especially her two boys.

Survived by her husband, Aaron Pryor of Blue Springs, MO; sons, Isaac and Devon Schaedel of Blue Springs, MO; father, Richard Rivas and his wife Deborah of Smithville, MO; brothers, Edward Rivas and his wife Natalie) of Independence, MO, Michael Rivas and his wife Lea of Blue Springs, MO; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of Life celebrating Teresa’s life will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the American Legion Post #499, 499 MO-7, Blue Springs, MO 64015.  Inurnment will take place at the Blue Springs Cemetery at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs.  Memories of Teresa and words of comfort for her family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com.
