One Year later...
November 17 was Azaria Rose's 1st birthday and although it was spent in heaven, we Celebrated her down here with her 1st birthday party. We were so glad that Azaria's headstone was also just put in time for her birthday!
Last week marked the one-year anniversary of 2 moments that are bittersweet, Julia's release from the hospital and Azaria's burial. It's been a long year of healing. A long journey of recovering. But we are forever grateful that Julia is alive and recovering.
So, let's talk a bit about some of her struggles. Julia had suffered many infections in the beginning and ended up back into the hospital shortly after Azaria's funeral. When she finally came home for good, it was a team effort to make sure she was taken care of. She was hooked up to a continuous IV drip, she had home nursing and she had wounds that needed to be cleaned and packed daily. She is still recovering from a fractured vertebra with continuous therapy.
But her struggles are nowhere near over. We still have yet to be issued a birth and death certificate. This is because the written records say Azaria had a heartbeat however the hospital for whatever reason is denying she did. To a mother that is grieving she feels like they are saying Azaria was never alive which is what the criminal case also is stating. The hospital it virtually making it impossible for Julia who is now disabled and still grieving mother to access her daughter’s death benefits. She has been denied disability and is currently in the appeal process. She was also denied for Social Services and was just recently cut off from food stamps.
Throughout this whole ordeal, Julia is still raising three beautiful children and trying to put the pieces of their lives back together.
Thank you for your interest in our story.
Any and all prayers are always appreciated.

Julia was almost 7 months pregnant when she was hit by a drunk driver on Tuesday Nov 17th. Sadly the baby(Azaria Rose) did not make it, she was only alive for a few moments before she went to Heaven.
Julia sustained significant injuries due to the accident and will have a long road for her recovery. She was the caregiver of her 3 children and her husband Roberto. Roberto drives tractor trailer across many states and will now be out of work until things stabilize.
As Julia and Roberto start the process of healing, I would like to ask if you can help take the financial burden off of them. Your donation will help pay for Funeral costs, Medical bills, as well as other expenses that will occur. If you can't donate money and want to help in other ways please let us know in the comments below.
Most of all please have them in your prayers
Thank you for your help!
