Donations for Kinsley

Hi, my name is Carmen. I have 5 kids, 3 of which were diagnosed with RSV. They were all super sick, but the doctor said they sounded ok and to keep doing what I was doing. Two of my kids are now fine, just have a little cough here and there, but my one-year-old, out of nowhere, started breathing real fast, stopped eating, and is barely drinking.

She didn’t seem to be in respiratory distress, just breathing fast. So I called her doctors and asked for an appointment and explained what was going on and asked for her to be seen. I took her in and explained everything. Then, they hooked her up to check her oxygen, and it was 79. They immediately put her on oxygen and called the ambulance.

I had my husband leave work and come pick up my other two kids from the doctor's office while I went with Kinsley (my one year old) in the ambulance. Now we are at the children’s hospital. They did chest x-rays and determined that she has pneumonia and water on her lungs, along with the RSV. We are in the ICU, and she is now on a ventilator and has some other issues going on as well. I have been staying at the hospital with her, but I also have four other kids at home, and we really financially can’t afford for my husband to be out of work while I am here with Kinsley.

I'm also a type one diabetic and need to eat while I’m here with her to keep my blood sugars stable. My family has been helping us financially, but it seems we are going to have a long stay here, and they can’t financially afford to help us for that long. So I’m asking for donations to help me while I am here, help with gas for my husband to get to and from the hospital to visit as we live 45 minutes away, and also help with the financial loss from my husband being out of work with our other children.
