Donations for Maryann

My name is Scarlett and I set up this page as a friend of Maryann so that anyone who would like to donate money to her can do so.

Maryann was unfortunately diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2024. While her chances are extremely good, she has to undergo six quite grueling months of chemotherapy. Her cancer diagnosis comes after a period without income, during which time Maryann was working hard towards a final deadline for her PhD. While Sweden provides a lot of support for cancer patients, I know that donations can be put to good use towards travel to and from appointments, grocery shopping for good quality, fresh food, and creature comforts during this difficult period.

Many very generous friends and colleagues in different parts of the world have got in contact to ask how to support Maryann. I hope that this site facilitates the giving of help from near and far - and please don't hesitate to send Maryann a message. Even if she doesn't always have the energy to respond, she is happy to hear from you.
