Hello all, my name is Jessica Angeles and

on May 24th my dad was hospitalized, the doctors ran many tests and on May 27th we were given the news that the tests showed it was a 95% chance it would come back as cancer. Officially on June 8th the biopsy results came back as Stage 4 Prostate Cancer. The cancer has spread to his lower back, chest, and glands.

Unfortunately, as there is no cure for cancer, he will need to start chemo to slow down the cancer from spreading and try to buy as much time as we can with him. For those who know my dad you know he's always in the most positive mood and a very joyful person to be around. Through all this he still cracks his jokes and even thought the situation is tough he is fighting to overcome this. His treatment plan includes 5 rounds of chemotherapy, a shot every 3 months and medication. Treatments are expensive and due to lack of legal status he does not qualify for medical insurance. The first round of chemo will be at the end of this month and we would appreciate any help to cover the cost as we continue to search for further assistance.

Hola a todos, mi nombre es Jessica Angeles y el 24 de mayo, mi papá fue hospitalizado, los médicos realizaron muchas pruebas y el 27 de mayo nos dieron la noticia de que había un 95% de posibilidades de que regresara como cáncer. Oficialmente, el 8 de junio, los resultados de la biopsia regresaron como cáncer de próstata en etapa 4. El cáncer se ha extendido a la parte inferior de la espalda, el pecho y las glándulas.

Desafortunadamente, como no existe una cura para el cáncer, necesitará comenzar la quimioterapia para retrasar la propagación del cáncer y tratar de ganar el mayor tiempo posible con él. Para aquellos que conocen a mi papá, saben que él siempre está en el estado de ánimo más positivo y es una persona muy alegre con quien estar. A pesar de todo esto, todavía bromea y, aunque la situación es difícil, está luchando para superarla. Su plan de tratamiento incluye 5 rondas de quimioterapia, una inyección cada 3 meses y medicación. Los tratamientos son costosos y, debido a la falta de estatus legal, no califica para el seguro médico. La primera ronda de quimioterapia será a fines de este mes y agradeceríamos cualquier ayuda para cubrir el costo mientras continuamos buscando más ayuda.
