Donations for Terry McCauley, aka "PorkChop/Pete"

On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, Terry McCauley (known best by “Pork Chop” or “Pete”) was in a major wreck. He had just left the mill in Nacogdoches and was headed northbound back to Marshall. It had been raining and the 18-wheeler he was driving hydroplaned. As a result, his truck and log trailer was thrust into the median, crossed backwards into oncoming Southbound traffic; and was slammed into by an oncoming 18-wheeler traveling Southbound. By the grace of God, both drivers survived. However, Pork Chop sustained some very serious injuries. EMT’s who happened to have witnessed the wreck were able to keep pressure on his head (which was gushing blood) & keep him stable until the ambulance arrived. He was then rushed to the local hospital where a deep laceration across his forehead was closed up with staples & stitches. If you see the truck (pictured), it’s evident that God was watching over him. Praise the Lord!

Due to significant head injuries he was admitted for testing and observation to rule out any trauma that may have occurred. He was released the next afternoon. However, since returning home the soreness has kicked in; and he’s enduring a lot of stiffness in his neck, back, hips & left knee. The top of his head is numb due to loss of nerve sensation. He has a lot of jaw pain, shoulder pain, and swelling in his face.

Unfortunately, this is not the only setback Pork Chop has experienced in the past few months. In April, he began feeling really bad but was not sure why.  He began experiencing very painful coughing, fever, joint pain, severe hiccups, enlarged lymph nodes, loss of appetite & rapid weight loss. In addition, he broke out in a rash all over his body, was having night chills/day sweats, eye pain, extreme weakness and fatigue.  After several trips to the doctor his symptoms continued to worsen and he was admitted to LSU Health in Shreveport. He was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis, and kept for 5 days. He had just recently started feeling like himself again, and then the wreck happened.

With this being said, Pork Chop has had a rough time the past few months. Although he tries to be strong, this has been very hard on him. He is a very prideful man and tries not to show his worries. Yet due to his sickness & him not being able to work every day in April/May – and now still not yet able to work due to injuries from the wreck - his everyday bills & medical bills have begun to pile up. PorkChop does all he can to provide for his household, yet until he can get back to work, he will have no income.

If you are able to support PorkChop and his family by making a donation & sharing this message with your friends and family, it would be greatly appreciated. The money would go directly to PorkChop to help with his bills & daily expenses until he is able to get back to work full time.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and for sharing the post.
