Donations for vehicle repairs

The Special Signal Fire Association exists to provide emergency rehabilitation services to firefighters, police and other first responders, as well as victims of natural and manmade disasters in Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut. The trucks also service public events such as marathons, funerals and community events at no charge.

Our nonprofit organization operations are performed by dedicated volunteers, providing free essential rehydration and nourishing meals from our canteen vehicles. They operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year responding to almost 500 emergencies per year free of charge.

We are asking for your help to raise funds to help with major repairs to our main canteen unit. This vehicle provides essential services to first responders and victims at all disasters and events. This vehicle is equipped with a full onboard kitchen and bathroom which is necessary for prolonged emergency incidents.
