Donations to Maine West Life Skills Program

Hi, my name is Lisa and this is a space for people to donate in honor of the late Terry Willett to the Maine West Life Skills Program.

Terry passed away on April 7th, 2023 and in lieu of flowers for his wake, he always said he would appreciate raising money for the Maine West Life Skills Program, just as he did for his late wife, Linda. Terry spent his final year of life substitute teaching at Maine West High School in Des Plaines, alongside his son Ryan. He spent a good majority of his free time those days visiting the students and staff in the life skills program and had a special appreciation for those parts of his day.

The Life Skills Program educates students with disabilities such as Down syndrome and Autism, among others. With donations, the Life Skills Program can help fund things like Special Olympics, experiences for students out in the community, and work experiences such as their small in-school coffee business, etc.
