Donations to the wonderful East Cheshire Hospice
My dear Grandad, David, was sadly diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer in October 2023, and in March 2024 we received the devastating news that his body was not responding to the treatment. From March onwards, the priority has been making him comfortable and easing the pain, and in July he got moved to the East Cheshire Hospice in Macclesfield where he spent a few weeks under their care. The staff were kind and loving to both Grandad, and our family. They spent time getting to know him, made him laugh every day, and put his needs above everything else.
On leaving the Hospice one evening I saw a sign that said they need around £9k per day to do what they do. Anything I can do to help them reach this amount would be amazing.
Grandad has sadly recently passed, but together we would greatly appreciate any contributions you are able to make to this incredible charity.
More information about East Cheshire Hospice: East Cheshire Hospice is a haven of care and calm for the communities it serves. We understand that many people are fearful to consider the services of a hospice, and whilst we provide expert and compassionate care for people with life-limiting illnesses, we also help families to smile through difficult times.
