Donation Drive for Flint, Michigan
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Amaka Agodi. I am an undergraduate student at the University of Southern California. I am interested in public and environmental health and health policy. When I heard about the water crisis in Flint, Michigan, I was appalled and I wanted to help wherever I could. I was upset that many Americans did not know there was as water crisis happening in America and to Black people living in poverty. I began looking for donation drives in my area in order to help the people of Flint. I realized there were not any so I decided to start one myself. I am using my position as a Resident Assistant to spark some proactivity in the USC community. I had a donation drive for Flint in March which was really succesful but I wanted to continue raising money for Flint. It is important that everyone is able to help wherever they can. I am adamant about raising awareness on health disparities and I am privileged enough to not have to worry about what the residents of Flint are experiencing. This crisis is something that can happen to anyone especially minorities and/or those living in poverty. I am asking for donations in order to purchase items and send them to a contact I have in Flint, Michigan. Money is great but if you feel compelled to donate the items, I have provided a link below. Thank you to everyone who is going to help, considering helping, and/or thinking about the crisis in Flint, Michigan.
Below is the Amazon wishlist that was sent to me by JusticeLeague NYC. They provided me with an address in which I will be using the money made to purchase items from Amazon then send it to For the Love of Flint( an organization JusticeLeague NYC is working with in Flint) at GLOBAL HUE 4000 TOWN CTR STE 1500, SOUTHFIELD, MI, 48075-1426, United States
