Donna Coble House Fire

Donation protected

  • Hey, I'm Lorie, I'm coming to you for a good friend of mine Adam Coble and his mother Donna Coble. Monday morning her house burned. Everything is a total loss. If it wasn't ruined by the fire, it was by the large amount of water put on the fire. They fought for almost 2 hours to put it out. Everything is gone, her lifetime of treasures, keepsakes, memories, clothing and all she had. Thank God for Bailey, her boxer, who woke her up and she realized the house was filled with smoke, then crawled on the floor out of the house, GOD IS GOOD. She didn't even have a phone to call 911, until a car came by and she flagged them down for help. They say it was caused by wiring in the attic so it probably had been burning and smoldering a while. Adam is his mom's caretaker and oversees everything, she is on disability and we all know that means she lives off of nothing. The insurance is already not cooperating and wants him to "repair" what is there with a small amount of money, which is crazy! He and I have worked together on several fires (he has done construction) and know what it takes and the mildew and problems you have from the water in the framing as well as the horrible smell. He is working diligently to try and figure things out but even with the insurance there is no way to replace her home and belongings. So, I come to you today to say, let's show them what we do when someone is in need. It doesn't matter if it is $5 or $500, anything is greatly appreciated. Normally, Red Cross helps but they have received or heard nothing from anyone! I can only imagine how I would feel if it was my mom or any family member. So please share and reach out to anyone that might be willing to contribute or help. If you need to see it for verification it is 1514 W. Cornwallis in Greensboro, there are clips on the news from Monday morning due to the road closure. Thank you for your time and reading. At this point all funds will go towards rebuilding her home and get her necessities.
