Donna Fields and Family

Hi, my name is Felicia Baldwin. I am starting this page in order to help a dear friend/coworker of ours who is going through some unexpected events at this time. Donna Fields is not only a friend/coworker, but after 10 years of employment at Royal Technologies and many years of working together, we consider one another family! On January 9th, Donna took a pretty bad fall and cut her head open pretty bad. The paramedics came and checked her out and said everything seemed to be okay and they left. The next morning, she still had a bad headache and wasn't able to use her right side hardly at all and had some numbness and tingling, so she went to the ER. They done a CT scan there and found 2 masses on her brain. They transported her to Brookwood later that afternoon where she would end up spending several weeks. On January 9th, they went in and removed the 2 tumors on her brain. During another scan, they noticed that she had severe thickening of her uterus and went in to get samples and check that out. This also came back as tumors which resulted in a complete hysterectomy. On February 1st, she was finally able to go home! She started radiation on March the 4th and had 5 targeted radiation treatments to her brain. On Friday, March 15th, she went and had the port put in to be able to have her chemo treatments. They had to give the port time to heal, so her treatments will begin on March 26th and that first session will last about 6 hours. She told me yesterday that after talking to the doctor and asking some questions, they did tell her that she has Stage 4 Endometrial Cancer. We have raised some money for her off of donations, and I have taken a couple of shirt orders in which she received everything over cost and that has helped her out a bit, but I would like to try to continue helping her and her little family as much as we can! She will lose her insurance through work on March the 27th and she has applied for United Health Care insurance and it will go in effect on April 1st, so hopefully that will all transfer over smoothly for her during this. Any amount is very helpful and very much appreciated by them all!
