Donna Houser’s Final Expenses
Our mother and grandmother, Donna was one of the bravest, most courageous, strongest women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her as the head of the family.
Donna was born on November 1st, 1953, to her mother Aneita Arlene (Feiock) and her father Lawrence Dale Houser in Norfolk, Virginia. After moving to Colorado in the late 50’s she became the big sister to her little brother David Michael Houser in 1958.
Donna attended South High School in Pueblo, Colorado where she graduated in 1972. She continued on to receive a college education majoring in theology and graduating with a bachelor’sdegree. After returning from college Donna held a position as an EKG Technician at Parkview Medical Center.
In 1981, Donna met and married Martin Eugene Christensen. Shortly thereafter they wed going on to have one daughter, Dannette Chelsea Christensen. When Donna had Dannette, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother (and eventually grandmother). Donna excelled in loving and propping up members of her family as well as encouraging and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties in their lives. Being a mother and grandmother was one of the most important parts of Donna’s life, a role that gave her much pride and joy. She was an excellent mother and grandmother, supportive, kind, hilarious and witty and we will all miss her dearly.
As Donna raised her daughter, she became employed in many positions assisting individuals with exceptional need until she gained employment in the Pueblo School District #60, where she worked as a paraprofessional and gained inspiration to obtain her master’s degree in school counseling through Adam’s State University. Donna carried a deep passion for educating and encouraging the youth. When she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness she could be found in the classrooms and library of Central High School, touching the lives of countless Wildcats, and making lifetime connections with many that still love her to this day. (And she still loved them more than many will ever know).
