Donna Lightfoot's Memorial Fund

It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the sudden passing of our mother, Donna Lightfoot, on February 15th, 2022. For those of you that knew her, you knew that she was as free as the wind.

She walked to the beat of her own drum.

A true rebel.

You don't find much of that anymore.

They — meaning anyone — will tell you that you should prepare for death. Death is inevitable. No one is too good to beat it. Well my mom deserved to, if anyone. My mom could have 10 cents to her name, still give you her shoes, and find out she's actually happier she's walking home barefoot.

She was so rare. Heaven truly gained an angel to be reckoned with — in the best way.

As you can imagine, at only being 59 and it being a sudden death, my family was not at all prepared for the financial burden that comes along with a proper funeral service and burial. All that is left to pick up the pieces is myself, and my 3 younger siblings. That is why I am reaching out to you all in hopes that you’ll show your support. Not for me, if even not for my younger siblings, but for Donna.

We are all still in complete shock trying to figure out how something like this could have happened to her.

We as a family wanted to wait until we heard from the coroner before announcing - but due to the criminal investigation regarding her death - it might take longer than we expect before we receive confirmation.

Just so you know exactly where your donation will be used, we are planning a cremation and a service to bless her and allow everyone who loved her to come together and celebrate her life. Every little bit helps.
