Donna Wood: Mortuary, Burial and Memorial Service

My wife of twenty years, Donna Wood, and myself moved back to San Luis Obispo, California this year to be close to the two young grandchildren. She adored them.

On December 8th, she had mitral valve replacement surgery with the expectation of success and getting her “buzz back” in her words.

There was a complication near the end of the surgery and even with the skills of a foremost surgeon, she lost oxygen to the brain and never woke up. She was pronounced deceased only two days later.

Donna was declined about 3 years ago for life insurance even though she was very healthy except their concerns about her heart.

Donna is survived by her son, daughter, brother and sister and two granddaughters.

The expenses for mortuary/cremation, cemetery and memorial service is estimated to be about 6,800. About 200 dollars will go to GoFundMe so I have set a goal of 7,000. If you would prefer to Venmo to save these site fees, I can be reached at Facebook message or Instagram message.
