Donnie Sandoval Support Fund

This GoFundMe is being set up for Donald Sandoval, who is currently on a ventilator and sedated in the ICU due to Covid-19.

Donnie is 64 years old and had just returned from working in Las Vegas from the National Final Rodeo. On Wednesday, December 22nd, 2021, I took Donnie to the emergency room because he was having difficulty breathing. Donnie was admitted immediately because his oxygen level was 40%, so he was taken in, sedated, and put on a ventilator. Although the doctors have said that his health is improving, it may be quite some time before he can come off the ventilator, and not be sedated.

Donnie grew up in Farmington, New Mexico area. He became a jockey and raced all over the country. He has made many friends in the horse and rodeo arenas. Donnie is a positive and happy person, and he is always ready to help others with work…Or just by being a good friend.

Donnie moved from Oklahoma to take care of his 89-year-old mother who has been diagnosed with dementia. Donnie has his two Brittany Dogs, Candy and Shin, who are a great comfort for him and his mother. They go everywhere with him, and they are his “girls”. Donnie continues to work with horses and continues to love all animals.

It may be a while before Donnie is well enough to be released from the hospital and able to work with his friends and animals. Donnie has a wonderful family and very caring friends, but he does not have any income or financial support.
