'Adjust the Sails' for the Donohues

I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.
On Friday, January 6th, 2017, Gail and Kevin Donohue's world changed on a dime. Life as they knew it would never be the same.
That morning, Kevin went out for a run and developed a headache so severe that he called 911. He lost consciousness in the ambulance as the result of two brain aneurysms that had ruptured, causing a massive stroke. He underwent emergency surgery, spent five weeks in the ICU, and never regained consciousness. Kevin passed away on February 10th.
While Kevin fought for his life, Gail never left his side. She was his staunch advocate and hoped against all odds for a miracle. Unable to imagine herself anywhere but in the ICU beside her high school sweetheart, Gail forfeited her job and put her life on hold.
The Donohues went from two incomes to no income at all, while medical bills and life expenses continued to climb.
So many have asked how they might help a family who has given so selflessly to others for many years. This fund was created by their close friends to help defray the costs associated with this horrific life event, as Gail struggles to make sense of and adjust her sails in a world without Kevin.
