Hello family and friends, first and foremost my family and I want to thank you for taking the time to donate, say a prayer, send emotional support, send a text or call and show your love towards our Donovan Salavea Misaalefua and to our family. Donovan was a beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, god son, uncle, grand son and friend who will be forever missed and loved unconditionally and most definitely never forgotten.
July 3rd Donovan was shot 4 times at a park in Perris, CA. Our family did not know that he was in the hospital until 3 days later. He was considered a John Doe and was alone until we were notified. 2 bullets shattered a bone and broke his right arm. The 3rd bullet went through his back and stayed in his left lung. The 4th bullet nearly missed his spine but stayed right next to it. After 7 surgeries later and being transferred to one hospital to the next, the bullets were safely removed and he was left fighting for his life and immediately put on life support. Overtime, his body was fighting infections, high to low blood pressure, multiple evasive surgeries, blood clots, being heavily sedated, code blued in many agonizing days and weeks in the ICU until his body couldn't take no more.
For those of you who did not know Donovan he had a beautiful soul and was an amazing human being. He had the biggest heart, he was a teddy bear, loved his siblings, loved his parents and his god parents and most of all loved his grandma who he is with now. He was a great football athlete and teammate and was the realest of real to his friends and family.
Donovan Salavea Misaalefua was born 8.18.2000 and was heaven sent 8.20.2023.
God is good all the time, all the time god is good.
We love and miss you so much Donovan.
We are seeking justice for Donovan and putting this support system together in need to help lay him to rest with his grandma Hana and to help his mom Rosalie Salavea Misaalefua. Thank you.
-With much love, Donovan's family.
