Don loves music and his passion is teaching children and adults to play different instruments. He is an inspiration to many of his students with his knowledge of music, using humor to make it fun. Don is retired from teaching in public schools for 30 years and now depends on his income from private lessons and piano tunings to make ends meet.
In July Don was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and will soon be beginning chemo treatments. As a result of this diagnosis, he will not be able to keep up his schedule of lessons and piano tunings. His wife, Cindy, was diagnosed with kidney failure in 2005 and has her own health needs to take care of. Financially this diagnoses will be a hardship for them.
Don is a loving husband, Dad and Grandpa loved by his family and students. He is active at church and he and his wife raise Service Dogs for children with autism.
Please, consider making a donation. This family is in real need. Since Don is unable to work, they have lost their entire income. No donation is too small!
