"Don't Forget the Backroads" Campaign for Yancey County

With so much of the news, donations and supplies going to the larger, better known communities in WNC, we wanted to do what we were able to raise awareness for the "backroads" of Appalachia, specifically the communities in Yancey County and the Toe River Valley region - an area that was hit incredibly hard by Hurricane Helene, but is still under-represented in the larger public knowledge of the damages.

As residents of Burnsville, we will be connecting with our local neighbors, law enforcement and churches to make sure every penny of your donations go directly toward helping those in this special community.
