Don't Let Doctor Lose His Practice

Donation protected
Yes, we are able to remain open!! Although the fund did not quite reach the stated goal, with the help of family and a private loan, we were able to come up with the minimum amount necessary to stave off having to close the office for now.Thank you to all of you for your generosity, kindness and support!!! We are so grateful and humbled, not just for the donations, but more importantly, the kind words and comments made.
Our overall financial status remains tenuous as stated in the campaign, but, we are totally committed to doing everything in our power to rebuild the business and continue to provide care for our patients. You can continue to help by coming to us for that care, referring your friends and family and "Liking" us on Facebook! Thank you so much!
Jim & Lyn Gloor

Dr. James Gloor, a general practitioner in Rhode Island for 35 years, is in immediate danger of losing his practice (January 3rd 2017) @ Wickford Junction Medical Walk-In, North Kingstown, RI due to financial hardship.  He, his wife Lyn, RN, and devoted staff, most of whom have been with him from the beginning, have been providing personalized professional care to people from all over Southern New England for the past 18 years at this location.  Over the past several years Dr. Gloor has dared to treat people suffering from Lyme disease, both acute and long-term, when almost no other physicians will do so.  He has helped hundreds of people to regain their health and, in turn, their lives only to be targeted by colleagues and, most importantly, the Department of Health simply because they don't acknowledge long-term Lyme disease and its treatment.  This has been an ordeal that, combined with the economy and  recent changes in insurance regulations, has taken an enormous toll; exhausting him physically, mentally and financially.  His physical and mental health are back but the financial situation is now dire! They need $40,000 to cover four months rent by January 3rd 2017 or the doors will be locked, they will be forced out of business and the public will lose one of the best healthcare providers in New England.  After pursuing all other avenues of funding they are hoping for a "miracle" and reluctantly asking for help from the public so that they can continue their life's work of caring for people.
