Cancer is the Cause////Donuts for donations

By asking for your help in obtaining the necessary equipment to create a donut/concessions business, I plan to provide help for both cancer patients and veterans seeking medical care in the West Texas area.  With a minimum of 10% of all money made going towards donations to groups that help provide housing, ride sharing, and co-pays for medical treatments, I would like to make a difference for those who may not have the support they need during such a trying time.  


For the past few years I have been contemplating my eventual retirement from long-haul trucking, and a desire to spend my "golden years" operating a mini-donut business (I have many fond memories of my father's donut business as a kid) and spending time with my family.  June of this year, I unexpectedly found myself in a Pennsylvania hospital, not with the hernia as I thought, but an aggressive metastatic tumor of the same type of cancer that claimed my stomach 5 years ago.

After consulting with my oncologist and receiving a 12 month prognosis, you can't help but heavily consider the end.  I have had the privilege of 54 years, and the roles of grandpop, father, husband, and veteran amongst many others. With whatever time I am granted left, I would like to take on the role of bringing some joy to those around me and financially contributing those organizations that assist veterans and cancer patients in the Permian Basin.
