Help get Doobie home - Hit by a car

Thank you all so much for the support so far. Doobs had his first follow up on Friday and things are going well. He’ll have to be seen every couple of weeks to monitor recovering and will be going back to Civano in 6 weeks for the dental work needed. Just wanted to let you all know that all funds donated here will be directly sent to Civano for Doobies future care.

Hi there. My name is Mady.

On November 15th night my moms little 10-month Chihuahua mix, Doobie, got out. She searched for him for hours and hours with no luck.

Unfortunately this morning she got the call that no dog owner wants to hear…..he was hit by a car. Thankfully, the 2 people behind the car who witnessed it happen, stopped and got him and took him to an emergency 24 hr vet in Vail,AZ

He has a broken pelvis, multiple broken teeth, a skull fracture, and is currently being kept for the next 36 hours for observation for any neurological damage. If there’s no neuro damage, then he gets to go home - if there is, that’s another story.

My family has a member with Cancer, so medical bills of any sort are always tough. I’ve never made a go fund me before, but I want to try to help my mom as much as I possibly can as I live in another state.

Update (Nov 18th) - Doobie is still at the animal hospital and they asked to keep him for another 24 hours for additional testing and observation. We will have to take him back for many follow-ups and in 6 weeks they will need to extract his broken teeth under anesthetic.
