Save Doodle Chat CIC - Art Builds Community

My name is Edek Thompson, I'm a Leeds based community artist, and founder of Doodle Chat.

We are in urgent need of funding so that we are able to continue running our community groups in Leeds.

Doodle Chat provide relaxed social groups for all to ‘doodle’ and ‘chat’. Safe spaces to talk and listen. The opportunity to be social and prioritise well-being. A place to connect and build community. Sessions are free, and all art materials provided, and where we can, free tea and coffee too. Doodle Chats have become an invaluable social and creative space for those who attend, and we regularly have around 60 people across the groups each week.

We run sessions on Tuesdays with our partner The Highrise Project at Armley Hub, Wednesdays with our partners Left Bank Leeds in Hyde Park, and Fridays at Thackray Museum of Medicine in Harehills, Leeds. Without urgent funding we are in danger of losing these vital creative well-being groups.
