Doreen F Nelsen Music Education Scholarship Fund

Doreen Nelsen was a music teacher in the Fairhaven Public School system for over 30 years and, during that time, inspired countless students with her enthusiasm for music. Three generations of Fairhaven residents performed in her Gilbert and Sullivan Operettas, sang in her choruses, or played in one of her summer orchestra programs. Our goal is to continue her legacy by funding a scholarship for Fairhaven High school students planning to pursue a career in music education.
