Dorian Cramer

My name is Justin Cramer and I'm starting this go fund me to help with medical expenses for my father, Dorian Cramer.

Dorian was first diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma around 14 years ago when he was 52 years old, he is now 66. He was in remission for several years. A couple years ago he had some lymph nodes show up on his routine CT that were concerning, so the doctors continued to monitor it closely and diagnosed him with Follicular lymphoma, but he was otherwise feeling normal. Then about a year ago he had a small mass in his abdomen that was otherwise benign, but did cause some kidney issues, which were resolved with stenting of the ureter. Last April he had CAR T-Cell therapy at NorthWestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. This therapy uses the patient's own T-Cells which are changed in a lab so they will attack cancer cells and then infused in the patient. He was there for a month being monitored and receiving infusions. This treatment worked and the mass was no longer present. A few months ago a small mass was again found in his abdomen during routine CT, which they continued to monitor closely as there was no malignancy present and was not causing any discomfort or other problems.

About 2 weeks ago Dorian had began to feel somewhat weak, but without any other symptoms until Friday March 15th when he started to become more short of breath. His wife Janice took him to the ED at CGH and he was found to have Lactic acidosis and CT showed the mass had almost doubled in size. Dorian was admitted to the CCU and is presently still there. He has been very weak, and even having trouble feeding himself and having a hard time holding conversation without feeling short of breath. He had a biopsy which results are pending and will have a PET scan, MRI, and spinal tap tomorrow. With all that said, the oncologist told me that the prognosis is not good and he is going to start antibody treatments that hopefully will prolong his life if he responds well to the treatments. I know my dad and his wife will greatly appreciate any donations. My dad is not only a father but a loving husband and grandpa.
