Doria’s medical costs & home repairs for recovery
Donation protected
Hello Friends and Family,
Many people have asked us to set up a GoFundMe page for Doria following her recent medical emergencies and now that Doria and her husband Jimmy are facing some significant home repairs that are required for her recovery, we have decided to take a leap of faith and set up a fundraising page for her.
Two weeks ago, Doria was taken to the ER as she had progressing symptoms that resembled a stroke. For a few days the doctors were unsure what was going on as the CT scans and MRI results showed no signs of a stroke. Eventually the good team of doctors at Harrisburg Hospital provided not one, but three diagnoses: Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS), Myasthenia Gravis (MG), and pneumonia. Doria required many rounds of specialized blood treatments such as plasma exchange. On the mend, Doria is now being moved to a residential rehabilitation center while she continues her journey to a full recovery.
While she has been in the hospital, Doria’s two sons, Daniel and Michael, and her husband Jimmy have been working tirelessly to get Doria’s home ready for her return. As the crew went to replace a damaged section of the subfloor, they realized they had a much bigger problem on their hands requiring more materials than anticipated in order for the home to be safe for Doria’s return.
We are hoping to raise funds to assist with both Doria’s medical costs and home repairs so she can recover safely and without worry. Any little bit helps and we sincerely thank you for taking the time to read this as we continue to pray for a safe and full recovery.
