Dorin Boyce needs your help

Late in the evening of September 6th, Dorin was brutally attacked by an intruder in her home. She sustained serious injuries to her body but most significantly to her face and head. She remains hospitalized and faces a very long recovery.

Dorin is a strong and feisty woman. However, she is 87 years old. She has always been a fierce advocate for dogs, especially the dogs of her beloved home, Barbados. She operates Woodbourne Boarding and Rescue Kennel. She has worked tirelessly for years, sheltering abused and abandoned dogs. She cares for them until they are strong and when ready, has found homes for hundreds of dogs in Barbados, the UK, US and Canada. She fights for the welfare of all dogs in Barbados and beyond often at her own expense.

Now Dorin needs our help. She needs help caring for the dogs at Woodbourne Boarding and Rescue Kennel while she recovers. This will include the cost of the dogs food and their vet expenses. She will need help with the wages for the staff to help continue caring for the dogs. In addition, she will need help to cover the cost of the utilities at Woodbourne.

Not surprising, Dorin and her husband Rudy (who is also in the hospital unrelated to the attack) will never return to their rented home. As you can imagine she will never feel safe there after this horrific attack. We need to help them find a safe and secure place for them. We want to be able to raise enough funds to cover the cost of a year of housing for Dorin and Rudy as they recover from this horrible ordeal.

No donation is too small. The proceeds of the GoFundMe will be used to cover off the above costs and the remainder will be given to Dorin.
