Doris Adams Memorial Scholarships
Donation protected
In memory of our mother, Doris C. Adams (1921-2018), who taught art at Burbank High School from 1965 to 1977 (during which she had a hand in molding the artistic talent of Tim Burton, now a noted artist and filmmaker), and who was herself an accomplished artist,
we are seeking to establish a scholarship fund for promising art students as they graduate from Burbank High School to help defray their college or art school expenses. Our goal is to raise at least $15,000, from which $1,000 scholarships would be awarded to promising art students selected by a consensus of current art teachers at Burbank High School.
This scholarship fund would not only honor the memory of our mother, but also, by nurturing artistic expression, help in providing a needed antidote to the unfortunate coarsening of society. We are grateful for whatever you can contribute.
Yours truly,
Michael and Stephen Adams
