Doris L. Jones Memorial Fund

We the family of Doris L. Jones are in need of your help. Please help us in raising the funds needed to pay for the Historical Marker dedicated in her Honor. To be located in  Atlantic City, New Jersey.  Atlantic City is experiencing a tremendous financial crisis at this time and there is no alternative but for us to raise the monies immediately for the manufacture and installation of this Historical Marker. The City Council of the City Atlantic City has passed the Resolution, and they are ready to dedicate the Historical Marker contingent upon the receipt of the funds to cover all costs associated with this project. So we really need your help!
 
Doris L. Jones was a Civic and Community Leader for several decades. She was a Hall Monitor at Atlantic City High School. She was the Summer Day Camp Director for the city. She was a Small Business Owner in the city. She was an Organizer and a Board Member of the Atlantic City Police Athletic League. She entered the first basketball team in the National Basketball Tournament, and traveled to several cities and states. Doris L. Jones had a great influence on the youth of Atlantic City. Many who became future community and civic leaders.

By virtue of her years of service, dedication, and commitment to Atlantic City's youth and community progress, Doris L. Jones is worthy of being recognized by future generations of residents and visitors.

We the family of Doris L. Jones will forever be Greatful, and Thankful to you for assisting us in this effort. It would mean so much for our family to know that the City of Atlantic City, with your help, will never forget her! We know that there are many people deserving to be honored for their good works in this world. She was one of them! If you only could have known her, there would be no doubt that you would agree! This world needs more people like Doris L. Jones. To help make this world a better place for all of us!
