Double Down: Injuries Impact Young Family

Seeing Double??  Texas Two-Step (down)!! 2 Parents, 2 small  children, 2 severe accidents in 2 days, 2 Parents now out of work


PLEASE HELP THIS YOUNG FAMILY IN NEED. My brother Nicholas and his wife Chassidy both suffered career limiting accidents in the last 48 hours. On Friday, Chassidy slipped on her 2-year old's toy, and dislocated her shoulder severely (pictured). On Saturday, my brother crashed his motor bike shortly after he installed a new clutch - resulting in a severe, displaced clavicle fracture (pictured) along with a scapula fracture. He will need surgery and 8-12 weeks of recovery. 

Both Chassidy and Nick are extremely fit, and work with their hands. Chassidy specializes in deep tissue massage, and has treated some of Austin's most well known names. 

Nick is a talented union welder and metal fabricator, and you may have seen some of his work on 6th street establishments or around town in our well known grocery chains. 

These two unexpected accidents came at the worst time, just before the holidays. Without disability insurance, there is no way to cover their mortgage, car payments, and keep food on the table for them and their small children. The medical bills are mounting quickly, and they have no income for the foreseeable future. Due to the nature of their work - therapeutic massage and metal fabrication & welding, they need to focus on recovery to regain full use of their shoulders and arms. 

Anything will help, since there is no required disability insurance in Texas - please consider donating what you can, so my brother and sister-in-law can focus on recovery and healing, and that my young niece and nephew won't suffer over the holiday months. 

All donations will go towards off-setting medical costs, and basic cost of living, including food for their young family, during this very difficult time.
