Double Your Impact: Help Mia Fight Rett Syndrome
Tax deductible
The West family is pledging to match donations dollar for dollar up to a total of $8,500 this year to advance the search for cures for Rett Syndrome and our daughter Mia. Please donate here to double your impact.
Mia is nine years old. She was born with a genetic mutation that leads to severe challenges in motor skills, communication, and cognitive development. Mia lost her ability to speak, lost purposeful use of her hands, suffers from seizures day and night, spends much of the day in a wheelchair, and more. Despite these difficulties, our daughter’s spirit remains strong, and she brings immense joy to our family and the people that meet her. We are committed to finding a cure, so children like her can live more fulfilling lives. Your matching donation will directly support critical research and care for those affected by Rett Syndrome.
Reverse Rett Research Trust (RSRT) is founded by parents of girls with Rett Syndrome. They have made incredible progress in driving the research, leading to two clinical trials now underway: Neurogene and Taysha. This research is driving scientific advancements in gene therapies, chromosomal reactivation, base editing, prime editing, RNA editing, and RNA trans-splicing that will have benefits beyond Rett Syndrome. RSRT has an ambitious roadmap with a $40M in 4 years fundraising goal to advance these promising approaches.
