Doug Fellona Medical and Recovery Fund

We would like to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
On Monday, April 22, 2020, my brother Douglas Fellona suffered a brain aneurysm that ruptured, leading to a subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding into the space around the brain). He was induced into a medical coma at the Outer Banks Hospital and rushed to the Norfolk General Hospital soon after. The helicopters were not flying due to poor weather conditions, so Doug had to be transported to VA in an ambulance, which greatly increased the risks. He is still at the Intensive Care Unit in Norfolk. His neurosurgeon said it is nothing short of a miracle that Doug has survived.
We are hoping and praying for his full recovery but the road to it is long and complicated. Please read this page for a better understanding: https://bafound.org/recovery/ .
Many of you have asked us how you can help. As a family, we feel the best way to help Doug would be to contribute directly to his medical expenses. The cumulation of high medical bills and being out of work for the next several months will cause Doug much stress. The best way to help would be to alleviate the stress for him as much as possible, so that he could concentrate on his recovery. We would appreciate any contribution, large or small.
Thank you all so very much!
